The combination of sports and arts is inspiring. But the partnership with a horse is truly fascinating.
My love and passion to animals was probably inherited by blood from my mother, who is a veterinarian. When I was a little girl she used to run a small veterinary practice in our family home, so for me animals have always been a huge part of my life.
For years I was begging my parents to let me start riding. I was nearly 12 years old when I was finally allowed to take the beginners course in the “Keskustalli” riding school, in the heart of Helsinki. The stable quickly became my second home and there I learned a very good basic knowledge about horses and riding.
From the age of 16 I spent a lot of time in Germany to learn more about horses and dressage. I had the privilege to learn from many amazing riders. During those years I successfully competed from young horse classes up to small tour level.
After my years in Germany I found myself in England, where we started a family. During those years I wasn’t riding at all and we only kept one horse, a broodmare “Vickan” who was the foundation of our current project and the inspiration for the name “VIX”.
After having our two kids I desperately wanted to get back into saddle and in October 2017 I started riding again. In August 2018 I represented Finland in the World Championships for Young Horses and in December 2018 I rode my first ever GP test.

From the beginning of 2019 I’ve been actively competing internationally in both Big Tour as well as Small Tour level. I’ve been fortunate enough to have some success quite quickly and my hunger for more has definitely grown.
